Volumetric light shafts radiating from the cursor. The beams are angular noise sampled in polar space — a shaft is just a shadow that does not change along its length.

God Rays

A flight between two cloud decks toward the seam of light on the horizon: every pixel is a ray marched through the deck it looks into, lit by forward scattering from the seam, sunk into its haze with distance, and now and then lit from inside by lightning.

Light Seam

A bundle of side-glow fibers behind a real focal plane: light fades along each strand as it is lost, leaves through a bright cut tip, and runs in pulses from source to end, while depth sets each strand's circle of confusion.

Fiber Optic

A long-exposure sweep of warm light across a pale ground: parallel streaks of every width, soft bands and fine bright lines, gathered on one side of the frame and leaving the other clear for copy.

Light Streaks

A curtain of hair-fine light threads falling down a wall and turning, over a rounded edge, onto the floor toward you, where perspective fans them out. The curtain ripples; light runs down its threads as long comets, strings of beads and slow-breathing glows under a rolling swell. The pointer parts the threads.

Light Curtain

A total solar eclipse: a corona drawn along its magnetic field, with Baily's beads and a diamond ring at the Moon's mountainous edge.

Chromatic Eclipse

A ring of paired lights turning round a dark disc, each throwing a widening cone of color outward; the color belongs to the place on the ring, so a light takes on blue, magenta, orange and green as it passes. A frame for a logo or a product; toward their far ends the cones break into shimmering shafts. The pointer lights the ring: inside it every light, outside it the lights on its side.

Chroma Orbit

A slow journey through fine stars and a colored nebula volume, with dark dust lanes and depth-dependent parallax. Star Flight keeps the original clear view.

Starfield

One field sampled three times, once per channel, with the offsets growing away from the cursor the way a lens fringes toward its edges.

Chromatic Drift

A luminous comet that follows your actual cursor path, with a curved, tapering trail and small fading sparks.

Cursor Comet

A luminous organic ring seen through reeded glass whose flutes ripple on their own, with spectral edges and a pointer ripple.
