A video is printed on a risograph in two inks. Each pixel is separated into the two inks it needs: inks on paper multiply, so in log space the colour is a sum of each ink times its coverage, solved by least squares. Each ink is screened at its own angle in soft dots, laid with the patchy density of a drum, and the second drum is a little out of register, as on a real riso. The subject is printed in full and the background is laid back toward the paper, so a headline sits on a clean ground. The cursor nudges the drum apart. It opens on a painted rose; a blooming rose, a candle and a garden rose photograph are included, and visitors can bring their own clip, which plays in their browser.
Riso Print imitates a two-ink risograph print on screen; it does not produce print-ready separations or files for a real press. Video shaders are not yet offered as packages or Export Kits.
