THE SYSTEM BEHIND THE SURFACE
Inside Grain Bloom.
Soft blooms of colour are laid over a deep ground, far to near, each a translucent swell with a soft edge: a blue to the left, a red behind at the top, an orange in front at the lower right, a peach and a pale glow in the upper right. The colours are blended in OKLab with their chroma held, so blue meets red through violet and red meets orange through coral, never through grey. A slow flow folds the field, so the boundaries drift and curl. Each bloom is lit as a gentle dome by the glow in the upper right, which gives the colour body, and a fine film grain finishes the surface and keeps the long gradients from banding. The cursor stirs the colour around itself and draws the light toward it.
Grain Bloom is an abstract colour field, not a photograph or a 3D scene: there are no objects, reflections or real depth of field, and it does not take your images. Its grain is a fixed film texture, not a model of a camera's noise.

Softness
How softly the colours melt into each other. Low keeps each bloom's shape.
Bloom size
Size of the blooms against the frame.
Relief
How much the blooms swell and catch the light. Zero leaves the colour flat.
Flow
How far the flow folds and curls the boundaries.

THE SURFACE IN CONTEXT
Made for a real interface.
Give a product launch, a creative studio, a music release or a brand campaign a warm, tactile hero. Set the headline over the open light in the upper right, choose Ink Blue or Sage Paper for a light corporate page, and lower Grain for a perfectly smooth finish.
