THE SYSTEM BEHIND THE SURFACE
Inside Glazed Porcelain.
Glazed Porcelain layers a rough diffuse ceramic response beneath a separate dielectric glaze. Entry and exit attenuation, glaze roughness and sculpted relief shape the studio-lit surface.
It is not measured porcelain, a subsurface-scattering solver or a product-mesh renderer. The area light and glaze tint are artistic approximations.
3.67 ms GPU timestamp median; p95 4.981 ms. 1440x900 @ dpr 1.5; Metal driver on macOS Version 26.6.2 (Build 25G83); measured 2026-09-06. This is a recorded headless sample, not a browser FPS or mobile-performance guarantee.
Relief depth
Depth of the sculpted ridges in the porcelain.
Relief scale
How many ridges run across the surface; higher values make them finer.
Glaze amount
Amount of glossy glaze over the ceramic; 0 leaves bare matte bisque.
Ceramic roughness
Matteness of the ceramic body under the glaze.
